BEHIND THE LENS - June Presentation
Our popular "Behind The Lens" presentations is scheduled for June 12. If you are new to the club, we invite several members to talk briefly about photos entered into this year's Challenges. Our fellow club members tell us what went into the making of their phots; from inspiration to capture to post processing. These mini-presentations are often eye-opening and aways inspiring. But we don't choose the photographers and images that are presented, YOU DO.
All votes have been tabulated and the makers of the top images you selected have been notified via email.
June Workshop Detail
The June workshop, "Capturing Stunning Moonrise Moments Behind Iconic Buildings" (by Robert Zurfluh) is two parts. Part 1 is Saturday June 7th at the Medford Leas auditorium beginning at 10 AM. Part 2 will be in downtown Philadelphia on Tuesday evening June 10th, weather permitting. You must register for each part separately.

Member Forums
Communication to and among members is critical to the success of our club, be it important news, questions, or simply social engagement. Our private Facebook group has tried to bridge this gap over the years, however not everyone chooses to engage on the platform for a variety of personal reasons. Since all of our members have access to our website, this becomes the natural space for communication (it's private, secure and fee of ads). An OPEN Members Forum has been created, and all club members have been subscribed automatically. Members can create topics and posts, and comment on those created by others. You have the ability to change your subscription details regarding the forums. For this to work successfully, it will take a commitment from all of us, especially those of us who are used to interacting in our Facebook group. The more we put into it, the more we will get out of it.
Monthly Challenge Deadlines
With the successful implementation of the club's new website, we are now extending the deadline for submission of images to monthly challenges. The new deadline will now be 9 PM on Monday, the day prior to the Challenge meeting (previously it was Sunday evening).
Next Season
We are already beginning the planning of our 2025-26 season. Needless to say, conceiving, organizing, and executing all the offerings of the club is a monumental job. Input from all our members is crucial to help steer us and provide value to you. The board is asking for your comments and suggestions. Who We Are
Founded in 1976, the South Jersey Camera Club (SJCC) was organized to promote the art and science of photography. Among its goals is the desire to unite others in sharing similar interests, to exchange ideas and photographic expertise, and to enhance the skills of club members. Our members come from all across the tri-state area, especially southern New Jersey & Philadelphia.
Dedicated To Better Photography
Outstanding speakers present interesting and informative programs. Field trips and workshops provide practical photographic experience. Themed and open challenges and bonus contests throughout the season encourage members to explore new techniques and subjects.
Multiple events/meetings are held throughout each month during our club season of September through June. Our in person Challenge meetings are held at the Medford Leas Community Center Auditorium, One Medford Leas Way, Medford, NJ 08055.
Programs are planned to interest photographers from beginners to skilled artisans. Guests and prospective members are always welcome.
The South Jersey Camera Club is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, not for profit organization. Donations or endowments are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
