Do you own a drone? Do you want to own a drone? Do you just think drones are cool and want to learn more about them? Then join the latest South Jersey Camera Club user group for drone enthusiasts. This group meets on a regular basis to learn more about:
- Drone flying tips and tricks.
- How to take awesome aerial photographs with your drone.
- Drone flying outings.
Some of the FAA Rules and Regulations for the Recreational use of Drones
- Fly only for recreational purposes.
- Drones over .55 pounds need to be registered at https://faadronezone.faa.gov/#/
- Take The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) and carry proof of test passage. FIND IT HERE
- Keep your drone within the visual line of sight or use a visual observer who is located next to and in direct communication with you.
- Give way to and do not interfere with manned aircraft.
- Fly at or below 400′ and get clearance for flying near airports or in controlled airspace. Use the these smartphone apps to find out where controlled air is: B4UFLY and AIRMAP are 2 of the best.
- Do not interfere with emergency response or law enforcement activities.
- Do not fly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
