2016-2017 ASSIGNED TOPIC DEFINITIONS

DIGITAL

Squiggles by Missy SkippenIn The Window - The subject of your  photograph must be in a window, seen through a window  or reflected in a window.

Reflections - This is an image that is seen in a mirror or on a shiny, reflective surface, either clear or distorted. Other non reflective items may be in the photo.

Candlelight - These photos must be shot with candlelight as the light source only.  You must show the candle.

Creative - Use your imagination and your creativity to do something out of the ordinary.



COLOR PRINTS

Orange Splash by Jean LorenzoSeascapes - These are photographs that depict the Sea/Ocean.  Not lakes, ponds, puddles, etc.
 
Long Exposure - Use a long duration shutter speed to sharply capture the stationary elements of your image while blurring the moving elements.
 
Boats and Ships - A  watercraft of any size designed to travel on water.  Canoes, pontoons, sailboats, rowboats and battleships are all eligible.

MONOCHROME PRINTS

Urban Patterns - An urban pattern is something found in any city or town that forms a pattern.
 
High Speed Photography - Freeze something in motion using a fast shutter speed.

NOTE: All topics must be the main subject of your photographs
